Catan. Catan, previously known as The Settlers of Catan or simply Settlers, is a multiplayer board game designed by Klaus Teuber. It was first published in 1995 in Germany by Franckh-Kosmos Verlag (Kosmos) as Die Siedler von Catan ( pronounced [diː ˈziːdlɐ fɔn kaˈtaːn] ).

You could probably get a fairly good solo game if you: 1) Play it for the long haul - so don't make decisions for more than one house a day. So play all the orders for Stark on day 1, then wait until day two to play for the next house. I thought I'd share this. I had the same problem that others have had where when first launching the game, I see the first video and then I see a black screen for about 20 seconds. Eventually the game crashes back to the desktop. I do not currently have a nVidia graphics card (AMD instead) and I've already checked the Catalyst control panel - all settings are already on application controlled LERvYds.
