The timing belt on it is still the original one and I can't find much info on the changing intervals for them in years. The milage is low so it's nowhere near needing to be changed based on that. The link at the top of this forum suggests between 120,000 to 180,000km depending on which vRS diesel engine it is.
If your car has not had its timing belt replaced at the correct interval this could cause a costly repair. A cambelt failure causes major internal damage to your engine requiring the cylinder head to be removed and bent valves replaced. The approximate cost of a cambelt replacement is from £399.00 plus vat, please call today for a quotation.

Used test: Ford Focus vs Seat Leon vs Volkswagen Golf I have a 2016 Skoda Superb that's done 68,000 miles. When should I have the timing belt changed? Most cam belt failures we hear about are between 50,000-100,000 miles. That's why I always recommend replacing the cam belt, tensioner and water pump every 50,000-60,000 miles or five years (whichever comes first).
Skoda Octavia - Oil Change Intervals Octavia 1.9 TDI - bazza : I bought a 58 reg 1.9 tdi Octavia estate last year. I looked for a main dealer service history to give at least the confidence that the correct oil had been used. The one I found had been on variable with changes about 15K and done 52K.
